Principal's Welcome

Welcome to St Francis' School, a Catholic CARE school named after St Francis of Assisi.

St Francis of Assisi placed great importance on the value of knowledge and education, he had a strong commitment to social justice and believed in the importance of serving others. His teachings emphasised the values of compassion, humility, and generosity, and he encouraged his followers to put these values into practice in their daily lives. At St Francis' School, we believe in providing an inclusive and supportive educational environment that encourages all our students to achieve their full potential.

Our school's mission is to re-engage students in their education through targeted support, alternative curriculum, and individual pathways. We understand that each student has unique needs and requirements, and we strive to ensure that every student receives the support they need to succeed. We are committed to fostering an environment that upholds our four core principles: Respect, Responsibility, Belief and Belonging. We believe that these principles are fundamental to creating a supportive, inclusive, and respectful community, where all our students can thrive.

At St Francis’ School we place a strong emphasis on pastoral care. We recognise that academic success is only one aspect of a student's development, and we are committed to supporting students emotional and social growth. Our pastoral care team is always available to offer guidance and support, ensuring that our students feel valued, respected, and safe, all of which are key for students to engage in learning.

We believe that a collaborative approach between parents, students, and teachers is essential to creating a successful learning community.

By working together, we can provide our students with the support, guidance, and resources they need to achieve success – which looks different for each student. Parents play a critical role in their child's education, and we encourage them to communicate with us regularly, share their feedback, and get involved in school activities.

Together, we can create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters a love of learning, promotes personal growth, and prepares our students for success in the future.
